 Targeted Public Employers

Public employers above the state average incident rate are targeted for PEOSH inspection.  The average incident rate is 5.6 per 100 workers (2005 data).

An incident rate is defined as the number of recordable injuries and illnesses occurring among a given number of full-time workers (usually 100 full-time workers) over a given period of time (usually one year).
